When I go to Banawe, I mostly stop by to pickup car parts or some feeder fish at Sam's Lagoon that is how I stumbled upon this lovely restaurant and their very friendly staff. I only ate twice here , because most of the time I do takeouts. Their staff is very friendly and best of all is their porkchop rice. The meat is tender and juicy , one bite you could taste all the flavors which burst upon landing on my taste buds. Coupled with the rice and the vegetable sidings along with the affordable price will put this on the map anywhere and I look forward to eating here anytime, I go to banawe at any chance.

Tasty Dumplings is a small, Taiwanese restaurant that is famous for its large, flattened porkchops, aside from their dumplings, hong ma, and soy milk. Taiwanese chops has been part of my childhood together with milktea. According to stories, porkchop is a street food in Taiwan. You would see people holding a brown bag with an enlarge chops inside together with milktea. Even the porkchop fastfood invaded us already. Porkchop Rice. One thing to describe it, DELICIOUS! Some say its a bit salty because of the sauce, but I like it that way. I normally consume 2 cups of rice for a chop to pair with lots of chillies and their secret sauce. Its salty, umami, winey/fermented sauce gives life to the lowly porkchop. Its tender and soft. Steamed Kuchay Dumplings. The dumplings was not as good as the porkchop. It was a disappointment. The skin was thick, chewy, and doughy. The meat was more meaty than fragrant. Comparing it to other kuchay that has a soft skin that is translucent that you can see the filling. Tasty Dumplings is still part of my comfort food list and still no. 1 for porkchops in Manila. Porkchop Rice! Porkchop Rice! Porkchop Rice! I suddenly find myself chanting to the beat of Porkchop Rice whenever I hear or think of Tasty Dumplings. Despite the name, people come here not for their dumplings but for their Porkchop Rice! Porkchop Rice! Porkchop Rice! (There you go again). Beaten to produce a thing sheet of pork, marinated in the most amazing mixture, Tasty Dumpling's version of porkchop is certainly like no other. It reminds me a lot about Hong Kong's Delicious Kitchen because of its sweet taste with every bite. Something quite awesome when paired with a hot bowl of steaming white rice. People usually come here for their affordable prices and hefty portions so I'm really not surprised why this particular branch easily gets packed with hungry customers. Why only complaint is why so few branches?! I wish they could open a branch near my place. Just so I can always have my share of Porkchop Rice! Porkchop Rice! Porkchop Rice!
